Leading manufacturer of model rocket kits, engines, and accessories; known as a pioneer in the hobby. Estes developed the first machine ("Mabel") for mass-producing model rocket engines, making the hobby accessible and safe.
Estes Industries is one of the pioneers of model rocketry. Founded by Vern Estes in 1958, the company helped popularise model rocketry by mass-producing low-cost solid rocket motors and kits. Estes is headquartered in Penrose, Colorado, USA, and for decades it has been a leading manufacturer of model rocket kits, launch equipment, and black powder model rocket engines. Estes has introduced countless hobbyists to rocketry and produced hundreds of kits since the 1960s (including classics like the Astron Scout, Alpha, Big Bertha and the Saturn V). It remains the worlds largest maker of model rocket supplies.
